Kevin Scott is a bassist known for his visceral sound, fearless improvisation, and genre-fluid musical voice. He is the bassist for Gov’t Mule, performing alongside Warren Haynes, and has collaborated with artists including Wayne Krantz, John McLaughlin, Jimmy Herring, Donny McCaslin, and FORQ. He is also a founding member of Wednesday Night Titans, his multi-media duo with drummer and programmer Zach Danziger, and co-leads the Kevin Scott Trio with drummer Matt Chamberlain.
Raised musically in Atlanta and shaped by years living in New York City and New Orleans, Scott developed a deeply adaptable and exploratory approach to the instrument. Now based in Nashville, his playing is recognized for its immediacy, volatility, and unmistakable musical identity.
